The Beaver

A couple of weeks ago I rented this from Redbox. It looked smart and offbeat. It was a
great movie. It didn't end super-happy, (which is kind of unrealistic in real life), but it
ended well. Without giving away any spoilers, Mel Gibson's character finds a way out of
his crippling depression through the use of his "prescription puppet", which is a beaver with
a cockney accent. What's interesting is that the thing that saved him, becomes something
equally as self-destructive. It made me think, it touched me, it was a good movie. There are
some parts that are definitely not good for kids.
